Job Description:
We are looking for a reliable team member to assist with the intake, cleaning, and inspection of firefighter protective equipment. Training is provided—just bring your attention to detail and willingness to follow established procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Perform commercial laundry cleaning and drying of protective gear
- Create custom work orders accurately and efficiently using order management software
- Relay all repairs and alterations effectively in organized paperwork for seamstresses.
- Ensure the flow and timely completion of all weekly tasks in cooperation with other staff.
- Assist the Shop Managers to ensure company success where needed.
- Follow NFPA 1851-compliant cleaning and inspection processes
- Lift and move items weighing 30 lbs or more
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist with general shop cleanup and workstation organization
Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Must be dependable and punctual
- Comfortable with physical work and lifting heavy items
- Willingness to learn and follow safety standards
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Occasional overtime may be required
Compensation & Benefits:
- $20.00 per hour
