If you are a Finance professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Lakeland Fire & Safety has an exciting opportunity for you! The Vietnam Division Controller will be responsible for all financial aspects of Vietnam operations including financial accounting, financial forecasting, planning, budgeting, and financial control systems. Additionally, the Division Controller will work closely with the Manufacturing Operations Leaders and Sales Team to assist in all aspects of the business, including, but not limited to, Operations efficiency, costs, process improvement, internal control development and compliance, sophisticated financial analysis, project-specific analysis and general business partnership. The position will support Lakeland Fire & Safety’s manufacturing facility in Vietnam.
As the Vietnam Financial manager, you will:
- Develops and directs the activities of professional staff involving the financial aspects of
regional operations including financial reporting, financial forecasting, planning, budgeting, credit and
collections, cost accounting, and financial control systems. - Leading and developing the local financial team and coordinating with external auditors and contracted financial and tax professionals.
- Producing forward-looking income statement and balance sheet forecasts, including inventory, capital expenditures, and sales, margin and expense analytics and insights to support decision making and manage performance expectations.
- Developing effective internal controls and establishing financial governance and oversight.
- Develop and implement systems to control manufacturing operation costs and
maintain systems to monitor product lines and customer profitability. - Interprets financial data collection to influence, recommend, or impel management
toward logical decisions consistent with company objectives. - Support Corporate objectives including the planned transition to SAP.
- Cooperate with other division financial managers
- Other ad hoc projects as assigned.
Are they any specific qualifications, requirements, or experience to be successful in the position?
- Must have strong bilingual communication abilities (English and Vietnamese), interpersonal, managerial, and analytical skills with the ability to build relationships with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Must be able to retrieve and interpret complex data, develop reports, draw conclusions, and make recommendations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong experience with SAP or other comparable ERP and reporting tools.
- Experience with ERP implementations is a plus.
- Ability to lead country reviews, provide strategic business insights, highlight variances, and recommend actions with a very strong attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college, preferably in business, accounting, or finance. MBA and/or CPA/CPC certifications highly preferred.
- 10 years minimum of related broad-based financial experience, preferably in manufacturing or textile industries.
- In depth knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles.
- Ability to meet assigned deadlines and strong organizational and critical thinking skills.
- Knowledge of accounting practices related to intercompany and foreign currencies, consolidations and problem solving and prioritization skills.
Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic manufacturing environment.
The compensation package:
The salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data for geographic locations. It will be a range, and may be modified in the future. So the final compensation package will be settled down after communicating with the candidate.
